'Winterfest' Will Celebrate Berkeley's 150th Anniversary

In honor of the township's 150th anniversary, enjoy iceless ice skating, music, food trucks at more at Veterans Park.

BERKELEY, NJ — It was 150 years ago this month when Berkeley Township officially was incorporated as a township in New Jersey. Now, the township is celebrating its anniversary with a brand-new "Winterfest" event at Veterans Park.

Held on March 29 (two days before the town's actual anniversary of March 31), the celebration runs 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

There will be iceless ice skating, food trucks, a DJ, inflatables and more. You can get a $10 wristband for unlimited ice skating and inflatables.

Berkeley was officially incorporated as a township on March 31, 1875, from parts of Dover Township (now Toms River).
