Woman Thrown Across Room When SUV Crashes Into Berkeley Home: Police
The driver of a Cadillac SUV had a medical episode and crashed into the house, sending the homeowner across the room, police said.
BERKELEY, NJ — The owner of a Sylvan Lake Boulevard home was flung across the room when a Cadillac SUV crashed into the front of her home Thursday night, Berkeley police said.
The crash happened shortly before 4:30 p.m. on Feb. 20, police said in a release. While heading south on Driftwood Drive, the Cadillac's driver had a medical episode and drove through a stop sign, sending the SUV crashing into the front of the home, police said.
The Cadillac's driver was trapped inside the SUV and was later removed by Bayville firefighters. The driver sustained lacerations and was taken to Community Medical Center.

The homeowner, who was seated on her day bed at the time of the collision, was thrown across the room and covered in building debris, police said. She was treated for minor injuries at Community Medical Center.
The home was significantly damaged in the collision and was deemed unsafe by the Berkeley Township Building Inspector.
