2 Injured As Dump Truck, Tractor-Trailer, 3 Vehicles Crash On Parkway Near Brick
The Tuesday morning crash snarled traffic down to Toms River during the morning commute.
LAKEWOOD, NJ — Two people were injured Tuesday morning in a crash on the Garden State Parkway involving five vehicles, including a dump truck and a tractor-trailer hauling lumber, New Jersey State Police said.
The crash was reported at 7:53 a.m. at milepost 88.2 northbound of the Garden State Parkway in Lakewood, Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron said.
The multi-vehicle crash involved a tractor-trailer hauling lumber, a dump truck, and three passenger vehicles, he said.

Two drivers sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to an area hospital, Lebron said. He did not specify which vehicles they were driving.
The crash caused traffic delays during the morning commute, both on the Parkway with traffic backed up to Toms River, and on side roads as people tried to avoid the parkway.

The crash remains under investigation, he said.
