AAA Hosts “Girls’ Night at the Garage” Car Care Event in Brick
FREE Educational Event in October to Encourage Car Care in Advance of Winter Driving

Hamilton, NJ (September 19, 2025) – Do you know how to check your car’s oil? Could you change a tire or the engine air filter? With the harsh winter driving season just around the corner, AAA is hosting a ‘Girls’ Night at the Garage’ car care event – a fun, educational evening during which a trusted mechanic will take the mystery out of basic vehicle maintenance and have car care needs explained.
According to S&P Global Mobility, the average age of vehicles on U.S. roadways is 12.8 years, and that aging trend is expected to continue. Previous AAA research indicates that vehicles 10 years and older are twice as likely to break down and four times more likely to encounter a problem serious enough to require a tow. This is especially important with the cold weather and winter driving season arriving in the next few months.
With that in mind, AAA is underscoring the need for basic vehicle maintenance and offering this ‘Girls Night at the Garage’ event to help educate consumers in a safe, fun environment.

“While AAA is known for its Emergency Roadside Service, we want to encourage preventive vehicle maintenance because there are now a record number of older vehicles on U.S. roadways, which means more drivers are at risk of a breakdown, said Tracy Noble, spokesperson for AAA Club Alliance. “Our goal is to reduce that risk, so everyone can get where they are going as safely as possible.”
‘Girls’ Night at the Garage’ attendees will learn about:
- Warning Light Indicators
- Oil changes
- Air and cabin filters
- Wiper blades
- Cooling system
- Battery maintenance
- Tires and wheel alignment
- Distracted driving
Light refreshments will be provided, and AAA Membership and Travel specialists will be on hand as well.
