AAA Hosts TSA Precheck Events Ahead of Summer Travel

Hamilton, NJ, (April 22, 2025)- With summer travel on the horizon, airports will be busy and security wait times are likely to be long. Air travelers can avoid the headache of long lines and get through checkpoints faster by taking advantage of a special TSA PreCheck® enrollment opportunities coming to AAA locations across New Jersey in the coming weeks.

The mobile Transportation Security Administration (TSA) truck and Idemia TSA PreCheck® agents will be on site in New Jersey at AAA locations in Brick, East Brunswick and Marlton throughout April, May and June.

  • April 22-25 - AAA Brick - 718 Route 70, Brick Township, NJ 08723
  • April 29- May 2 - AAA East Brunswick, 260 State Route 18, East Brunswick, NJ 08816
  • May 27-20 - AAA Marlton- 1041 New Jersey 73Evesham, NJ, 08053

AAA members and the general public can schedule appointments and pre-register online at AAA.com/TSA to participate. Appointments are limited and are available on a first-come, first-serve basis, so future travelers are urged to register as soon as possible.

Appointments for the events are available from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. – 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. on Friday. There are no Saturday appointments.

“With the summer travel season just around the corner, this TSA PreCheck® enrollment opportunity couldn’t come at a better time for travelers hoping to avoid long airport lines,” said Tracy Noble, spokesperson for AAA Club Alliance. “TSA PreCheck® enables identified low-risk air travelers to enjoy an expedited and efficient security screening experience.”

If approved, travelers get a five-year membership with the program. The program is open to U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals and lawful permanent residents. AAA members as well as the general public are welcome to participate in the screening event.

Enrolled members do not need to remove shoes, laptops, 3-1-1 liquids, belts or light jackets. They are able to access TSA PreCheck® dedicated screening lanes at over 200 participating U.S. airports nationwide.

Pre-registration and appointment scheduling at AAA.com/TSA should be completed in advance. You will finish the process onsite by providing your fingerprints for a background check. You will also need to bring documentation proving identity and citizenship status. Your name on the documents must match exactly with your proof of identity. If they do not, bring an original or certified copy of a court ordered name change document (to include marriage certificates and divorce decrees). If you have a valid U.S. passport, you do not need multiple forms of ID.
Processing of applications will be completed onsite. Follow these steps to schedule an appointment and pre-enroll:

  1. Go to aaa.com/tsa and click “make your appointment today” near the bottom of the page.
  2. Click “New Enrollment” at the top of the next page.
  3. Fill out each page of the online application, choosing “Next” at the bottom of each screen to advance the form.
  4. Next, type in your location at Zip Code/City/Airport Code box and then search.
  5. Choose the Pop-up Event and select AAA as the location and click “Next.”
  6. Select your desired appointment time (Please be sure to make note of your appointment time; no reminders will be sent out). Mobile IDEMIA agents will process TSA Pre✓® applications onsite.

IDEMIA offers TSA PreCheck® for an enrollment fee of $78, which can be paid by credit card, money order, company check or certified/cashier’s check. Cash and personal checks are not accepted.
Following the in-person enrollment appointment, most applicants receive their Known Traveler Number (KTN) in about three to five days. The KTN number must be added to flight reservations to enjoy TSA PreCheck® benefits.

Children 12 and under may accompany an enrolled parent or guardian in the TSA PreCheck® lanes without restriction. Children ages 13-17 may join enrolled adults in the dedicated lanes when traveling on the same reservation and if the TSA PreCheck® indicator appears on the child's boarding pass.
