Halloween Parking Rules In Brick: See Where And When

Brick Township police said the rules are in place to make it safer for trick-or-treaters.

BRICK, NJ — A "No Parking" order has been announced in the Lake Riviera section for Friday, Brick Township police announced.

The temporary order for Lake Riviera aims to "facilitate a safe environment for the high volume of pedestrian trick-or-treat traffic and to ensure clear access for emergency vehicles," the police department said.

The temporary no parking order begins at 6 a.m. on Halloween and runs through 6 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, police said.

In addition to the temporary parking ban, police issued a reminder about Brick Township's Halloween curfew, which goes into effect Thursday night.

The curfew applies to kids under the age of 18.

"No juvenile (person under 18 years of age) shall be on any public street, avenue, boardwalk, park, or other public area within Brick Township," on from 8 p.m. on Oct. 30 through 6 a.m. on Oct. 31, and from 8 p.m. on Oct. 31 through 6 a.m. on Nov. 1.

Kids under 18 who are accompanied by a parent, guardian, or other adult family member are exempt, police said.

"Your partnership and compliance are essential for making this a safe and enjoyable Halloween for everyone. Our officers will have an increased presence throughout the township to ensure safety," the police department said.
