Join K's Kitten Rescue at Tardi Gras 2025!

What is Tardi Gras 2025?

K’s Kitten Rescue’s Tardi Gras 2025 celebration is scheduled for Sunday, March 2, 2025 from 12:30 pm to 4:30 pm. Tardi Gras 2025 will be held at the Toms River Elks lodge, 600 Washington Street, Toms River, NJ 08753.

Our friend, leader and mentor Louise passed away unexpectedly on March 3, 2024. She and her husband Dave used to host an annual Tardi Gras party for their friends. A Tardi Gras party is a gathering of friends and basically a late Mardi Gras celebration.

If you have somehow become connected with K's over the years - fosters, adopters, trappers, fans and supporters - this event is for you. If you were a friend or colleague or student of Louise Wootton, this event is for you. Didn't know Louise but love cats and want to help them? You are welcome too. This event is open to all. Come out and celebrate Louise and help the kitties!

Why is K’s Tardi Gras 2025 on March 2, therefore not tardy?

We do realize that technically Mardi Gras Day is actually on March 4, 2025 this year, which means our March 2 event isn’t actually tardy. But we refuse to let the anniversary of Louise’s death pass without recognizing it. We have been working really hard to honor all of the years of work she put into the rescue. We believe she would be proud of our efforts and we want to celebrate that.

Who should come to Tardi Gras?

All are welcome to join us at Tardi Gras 2025. Whether you worked with Louise, attended her classes, asked K’s to rescue cats from your property, fostered for K’s or adopted from K’s, we want to hear about your connection to K’s Kitten Rescue and to Louise. Let’s all get together and share some memories and stories. Let’s see some photos. Let’s celebrate Louise while supporting the rescue. Didn't know Louise but love cats and want to help them? You are welcome too. This event is open to all. Come out and celebrate Louise and help the kitties!

What will go on at Tardi Gras 2025?

We will have a buffet-style meal. There will be soft drinks and a cash bar available.We will have music provided by DJ Josh.This is a casual event, Louise would have wanted it that way.Want to wear a cat sweater? Do it! Want to wear a dress and cat mask? Do it! Wear what you like as long as it’s not just your birthday suit.

What is the cost to attend Tardi Gras 2025?

We are requesting a $25 donation per person for Tardi Gras 2025. Tickets will NOT be available at the door.

This is a fun-raising event for K’s Kitten Rescue and all proceeds will benefit K’s Kitten Rescue, a 501(c)3 organization registered with the state of New Jersey.
