SOMERVILLE, NJ — Bridgewater local Christina Castellanos is continuing her tradition of giving back to families in need during the holidays.

"Eight years of doing this, and it gets bigger every year," said Castellanos. "I am still continuing to grant the Christmas wish list of those in our local shelters. We have about 21 singles left that need to be sponsored."

"This event is being held by myself and Melissa Smith. Melissa has been tremendously helpful and is fighting ovarian cancer and diabetes, but somehow always finds the time to give back," said Castellanos. "As you know, many families are going through a hard time, and as a member of this beautiful community, we have to do our part in making sure we do God's work, and that is to give back to those in need."

Along with the wish list items, they are collecting hot meals, desserts, snacks, or drinks to go toward dinner for those in need. They are also looking for someone to dress as Santa to take pictures with the children.
