Organic Coffee Cafe Expands To Open New Location In Somerset County
Ambee Coffee, owned by Bridgewater native Steven Chiocchi, is expanding to open another location in Somerset County.
BOUND BROOK, NJ — Ambee Coffee, owned by Bridgewater native Steven Chiocchi, is brewing up some exciting news in Somerset County.
Chiocchi announced he is opening another Somerset County location at The Rail, a 145-unit building that recently held its ribbon cutting on Hamilton Street in Bound Brook.
"It is right near the train station, and it's kind of like a commuter concept," said Chiocchi to Patch. "It's a smaller unit, and we'll be serving mostly tenants in that building and Downtown Bound Brook."

Ambee is shooting to open its new location in the fall. This will be in addition to Ambee's other locations in Somerville and Warren.
"We're excited, and we think that even Middlesex, Dunellen, and South Bound Brook residents will be able to take advantage of Door Dashing from us now. So it lets us break into a new region," said Chiocchi.

The Bound Brook location will have a similar menu to its Somerville location with grab-and-go food options.
Chiocchi said he feels great about opening this new location after closing his Raritan store in April.
"We were set to close one this year, and we knew this was kind of in the wings, and that's why it kind of eased the burn of closing Raritan," said Chiocchi, who added he is actively looking at another space to start a second project this calendar year.
"It feels great. We're really excited, and we think Bound Brook is a really good opportunity, considering there are over 1,000 new residential units opening in the next couple of months," said Chiocchi. "We're really pumped to serve that community."

The name of the cold brew shop, Ambee, is definitely unique. The name Ambee is a word Chiocchi, a Bridgewater-Raritan High School graduate, made up and is a play on the word ambient. The name also aligns with his organic coffee line that is light- or ambient-themed. The coffee product names include Aurora, Orion, Eclipse, and more.
