Bridgewater Raritan Track To Get $450K Fix: Report

The field is a "swamp," one board member said, and another said it's been neglected for a good amount of time.

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — The Bridgewater-Raritan track and field facility is set to get fixed up after a vote by the education board, according to a report.

The 6-2 vote means over $450,000 will go to Flanagan’s Contracting Group, Inc., to do the work, Tap Into reported.

The facility has "been neglected for some time,"Superintendent Russell Lazovick said, according to the report.

Board member Melanie Thiesse compared the field to a swamp, the report said, and board member Barry Walker said there are a lot of issues with the facility.
