Update: No Surprises in District 23 Results
All candidates ran unopposed in Tuesday's primary.

The unofficial results of Tuesday's primary election provided no surprises in the 23rd District.
Incumbents Erik Peterson (R-Franklin) and John DiMaio (R-Hackettstown) will represent the GOP for a pair of assembly seats in November's general election. They will be challenged by Democratic hopefuls Scott McDonald (Washington Boro) and Karen Carroll (Bound Brook).
The unofficial results posted on the Somerset County Clerk's website at mid-morning on Wednesday showed Peterson had received 1,736 votes and DiMaio 1,735 from county voters. McDonald had received 608 and Carroll 614.

In the Senate, incumbent Michael Doherty (R-Oxford) will face John Graf Jr. (D-Bedminster) and Daniel Seyler (I-Phillipsburg) in the general election.
Doherty unofficially received 1,779 votes and Graf Jr. 641 votes in the county.
