'Kind, Generous' Owen And Benjamin: Bridgewater Star Students
We all know students who excel in academic, fine arts or volunteer service. Here's one local who is having an impact in Bridgewater.

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — Star Students are found in classrooms, on concert and theater stages and at debate lecterns, and out in the community doing good things to make life better for all of us.
Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize Star Students, and we’re working to tell the stories of these outstanding kids to their neighbors.
This submission comes from Christy Bitner who nominated Owen and Ben of Bridgewater. Bitner is the mother to the seventh graders.

Why do you believe the star local student should be recognized?
Owen and Benjamin have gone above and beyond in being generous. In August, we took in a Ukrainian refugee family. This means that they gave up their spacious room and walk in closet for a tiny room. They also gave up their bathroom, which they now share with their parents. In school, they have tried to help their Ukrainian peers adjust to their new country and school. Life has certainly gotten more crowded in their house, but they take it all in stride. We are beyond proud of what kind and caring people they are.
What's one thing you want everyone to know about the star local student?
Ben and Owen are not only kind, but they have aspirations. Some weekends, they work with their Dad. At 12 years old, they are saving up for a car.
Congratulations on your achievements, and all of our best wishes to you in the future,Owen and Ben gr 7!
