SOMERSET COUNTY, NJ — After weeks of drought, it has finally rained in Somerset County! But how much fell overnight?

The National Weather Service(NWS) reported Green Brook recorded the most in Somerset County with 1.28 inches as of around 9:20 a.m on Thursday.

Thursday: Rain. High near 47. Northwest wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Thursday Night: Rain likely before 4 a.m., then a chance of rain and snow. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 33. Northwest wind 10 to 15 mph becoming southwest after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent. Little or no snow accumulation expected.

Friday: A chance of snow before 9 a.m., then a chance of rain and snow between 9am and 10am, then a chance of rain after 10am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 43. South wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50 percent. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Friday Night: A chance of showers, mainly before 1 a.m. Cloudy, then gradually becoming partly cloudy, with a low around 32. Northwest wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
