$1,000 Reward for Info in Gloucester Township Woman’s Death

A $1,000 reward has been posted for information pertaining to the death of a Gloucester Township woman who had been reported missing two weeks ago, authorities announced.

Carol Reiff, 59, was found dead in a wooded area last week at the Lakeview apartment complex off Lower Landing Road, not far from Route 42.

Reiff had been reported missing June 21, a day after last speaking to family members, authorities said, who called police when she didn’t show up as planned at a family gathering in Manahawkin.

A K-9 team found her body just before noon June 24, Gloucester Township Patch reported, but it took days for authorities to confirm, via dental records, the badly decomposed body was Reiff. The cause of death was listed as “pending,” after an autopsy was unable to determine a cause.
