150 Cherry Hill Runners Race Philly Half Marathon
The annual race saw more than 18,000 finish at Eakins Oval Sunday morning.
More than 18,000 runners took to the streets of Philadelphia Sunday morning in near-ideal conditions for the 36th edition of what's now the Rock 'n' Roll Philadelphia Half Marathon, and among them were 150 Cherry Hill runners.
35-year-old Casey Coleman was the fastest township resident in the race, clocking an average pace of 6:06 per mile to come in 180th among all competitors.
Lorraine Cephus was almost three hours behind him—but at 83, she was one of the oldest runners in the field, and one of just two in her age group.
The overall winners of the race were Stanley Biwott on the men's side, who ran a 59:35 to repeat as champion, and Lyudmyla Kovalenko, who out-kicked Konjit Biruk to win by three seconds in 1:08:57.
