2 Cherry Hill Runners Finished Marathon Before Explosions

Three locals had been entered in Boston's biggest race, but one didn't start.

Two runners from Cherry Hill reached the tape ahead of explosions at the Boston Marathon's finish line in Copley Square this afternoon, according to race results.

Rachelle Greenman, 53, crossed just after 2:46 p.m., only a few minutes before bombs detonated near the finish line, killing three and injuring at least 140 others, according to Boston Police reports.

Oleg Aliferov, 43, finished hours before that as part of the first wave of runners, clearing the line at 12:55 p.m.

A third local runner, Jeffrey Berns, had been entered in the race, but didn't start, according to race records.
