3 East Teams Scores Wins Wednesday

The Cougars' softball, baseball and girls lacrosse teams all notch victories.

Cherry Hill East’s softball team bounced back from a loss to cross-town rival Cherry Hill West in a comeback victory over Winslow Township Wednesday.

The Cougars built a 3-2 lead through four innings, saw that slip away late, then roared back with four runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to come away with the 7-6 win.

East 12, Winslow Township 9

The Cougars put up 11 runs in the first three innings and weathered a late charge to win on the road at Winslow. Alex Dimpter got the win on the mound for East.

Cherokee 18, Camden Catholic 5

Camden Catholic's Dom Messina and Albert Faiola both hit doubles, but Cherokee poured on the offense to mercy-rule the Irish in five innings.

Girls lacrosse

East 15, Kingsway 13

The Cougars built a 9-4 lead at halftime on the way to victory, led by Caitlin Delaney (eight goals) and Taylor Patrizi (six goals).

Seneca 13, West 7

Lauren Anderson scored four times for the Lions, who trailed by just three at halftime, but couldn’t make up the deficit in the second half.
