Michael Panetta, 39, played an expensive version of bumper cars in Cherry Hill, according to police.

A Williamstown man who went on a hit-and-run spree in Cherry Hill ended up under arrest at the Moorestown Mall late Sunday afternoon, Moorestown Police said.

After Cherry Hill officers asked for help finding the driver, Moorestown officers spotted Michael Panetta, 39, of the unit block of Winthrop Road, riding on a blown-out tire in the mall parking lot, police said.

Panetta had smashed into numerous cars in Cherry Hill, police said, and while Moorestown officers waited for Cherry Hill Police to arrive, they spotted a pipe used to smoke drugs inside his car.

Cherry Hill ultimately declined custody of Panetta, but he was charged by Moorestown Police with possession of drug paraphernalia, reckless driving, unsafe motor vehicle and view obstruction.

Panetta was released on a summons pending a court hearing.
