Alleged Pickpockets Wanted in ShopRite Incident, Police Say
Two women stole a wallet from their victim and went on a spending spree, according to police.
Two women who allegedly stole a wallet from a shopper at the Evesham Road ShopRite last month went on a spending spree not long after, and Cherry Hill Police are looking for the public’s help in trying to identify them.
The two worked in tandem, police said, with one woman distracting the shopper while the other grabbed the wallet from the victim’s handbag in the March 19 incident. They’d tried that routine with several other shoppers at ShopRite before being successful, police said.
Afterward, the women headed to various stores in the area and bought electronics and gift cards using the proceeds from the theft, police said.
