Armed Robbers Hit Marlton BP, Police Say

The pair likely got away in a waiting car, police said.

Armed robbers hit the BP gas station on the Cherry Hill-Marlton border early Tuesday morning, getting away with several hundred dollars in cash, Evesham Township Police said.

Two men, one armed with a handgun, held up an attendant after he finished pumping gas just after midnight at the station, which is located at Route 70 and Conestoga Drive, police said.

After stealing about $400 from the register, the two men took off on foot down Conestoga, police said.

Officers responding to the call threw up a net for several blocks and brought in a K-9 unit to try to track the men, but police said it was likely the pair jumped into a waiting getaway car and escaped.
