Burglar Who Fought Homeowner Arrested, Police Say
Jon D. Padula faces four separate charges related to an incident last week.

A man who authorities said fought with a homeowner after committing a burglary was arrested without incident Monday, Cherry Hill Police announced.
Jon D. Padula, 22, of the unit block of Willis Avenue in Pennsauken, was caught in Lindenwold, less than a week after he allegedly burglarized a home in Cherry Hill's Colwick neighborhood.
Padula, who has spent time in state prison on drug and burglary convictions, was leaving the home in the unit block of St. Davids Road when the homeowner confronted him, police said, leading to the fight, during which Padula allegedly threatened to stab the homeowner with a screwdriver.

Detectives identified Padula as the burglar, police said, and charged him with burglary, terroristic threats, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and possession of burglary tools ahead of his arrest.
Padula is currently in the Camden County Jail in default of bail, police said.
