Cherry Hill East Baseball Drubs Timber Creek to Top Friday Action
The Cougars get a big fourth inning in their sixth win of the season.

Behind Zach Steinbock’s home run, Cherry Hill East’s baseball team made it two wins in three games in an 11-4 drubbing of Timber Creek Friday.
Steinbock smashed a two-run shot to cap a four-run fourth inning, the runs that proved the difference-makers against the Chargers, who committed seven errors on the afternoon.
Josh Boyce and Alex Kramer added doubles for the 6-12 Cougars, who pounded out 10 hits and got a solid performance from senior Joe Caprice on the mound.

Camden Catholic 7, Seneca 5
Dom Messina and Christian Bilan both hit doubles, and the Irish broke a 5-5 tie in the seventh to escape with the win against Seneca Friday.

Girls lacrosse
East 20, Camden Catholic 12
The Cougars’ Emily Johnson was a scoring force, posting eight goals and assisting on three others to help Cherry Hill East pull away against Camden Catholic Friday.
The Cougars were up by just two over the Irish at halftime, but outscored Camden Catholic, 11-5, in the second half to put it away.
Caitlin Delaney also had five goals for East; Camden Catholic’s Megan Kilpatrick was tops for the Irish with five goals.
Boys lacrosse
East 17, Camden Catholic 8
The Cougars jumped out to a 6-1 lead after the first quarter and outscored the Irish 8-4 in the second half to net their second victory of the spring.
Softball
Camden Catholic 11, Seneca 5
Irish pitcher Susan Wysocki smashed a triple to help her own cause, as Camden Catholic jumped out to a 2-0 lead and never trailed in the victory.
Timber Creek 5, East 4
The Cougars scored two runs in the top of the sixth to tie it up, but the Chargers struck back in the bottom of the inning, when Faith Rivera drove in Brianna Milillo for the game-winner.
Becca Froyd’s double highlighted the offense for East.
