Cherry Hill East Football Falls to Williamstown [Photos]
The Braves were too much in East's home opener Thursday.
Amid a tough home opener, there was a white-hot bright spot for Cherry Hill East in its loss to defending South Jersey, Group 5 champion Williamstown.
Down two touchdowns late in the first quarter, with the offense jammed in neutral, Cougars junior quarterback Brandon Stern found speedy wideout Vinny Guckin in space, and Guckin torched his way through the secondary on the way to an 80-yard score with 2:03 left in the first.
But that was the only time East would find the end zone—or even Williamstown's half of the field—in a 67-6 loss. Six different players scored for the Braves.
