Cherry Hill Police Applications Deadline is This Week

Applications are being taken electronically as well as by hard copy.

Thinking about becoming a police officer in Cherry Hill? Don't procrastinate—the deadline for interested applicants is looming.
Anyone who wants to test for a position in the department has to have an application in by Wednesday at 4 p.m., which can be delivered electronically or via a hard copy application.
Interested applicants can provide their name, address and a valid email address to CHPDjobs@cherryhillpolice.com to get an electronic version of the application. Applications can also be obtained in person from police records at the municipal building on Mercer Street between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Whether electronic or on paper, all applications must be in before 4 p.m. Wednesday to be deemed eligible.
Candidates have to make these minimum qualifications to be considered:

• Must be at least 18 years of age and must be hired on or before their 35th birthday
• A citizen of the United States
• A resident of New Jersey at time of appointment
• Have a valid unrestricted New Jersey drivers license at time of appointment
• Pass written, physical ability and interview component of the testing process
• Pass medical, psychological examination and drug screen
• Must be a graduate from a senior high school or have had a formal education or training showing attainment of the level represented by graduation from senior high school
• Possess a minimum of 60 college credits from an accredited college at time of appointment
• Pass a background investigation
• Be of good moral character and never convicted of a crime or of any criminal offense involving moral turpitude or dishonesty
