CHERRY HILL, NJ — The Camden County Department of Public Works and Engineering’s Chapel Avenue improvement project in Cherry Hill has been recognized as one of New Jersey’s top engineering accomplishments, county officials announced.

The New Jersey Chapter of the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACECNJ) recognized Camden County Engineer Kevin Beccia for the project at their 50th annual Engineering Excellence Awards last week, officials said.

“The Camden County Engineering Department’s preliminary and final design for Chapel Avenue blended innovation, safety, and beauty all in one,” County Commissioner Al Dryer, liaison to the Department of Public Works, said. “Their award-winning development plans reduced local speeding patterns, improved cyclist accessibility, and amplified pedestrian safety, all while beautifying Chapel Avenue with paved medians and islands.”
