CHYAA 11-Year-Olds Fall in District Final [Photos]
The Panthers still advance to the South Jersey state tournament as district runners-up.
In a game that was nothing but offense, it looked like a single hit might turn it all.
With Mount Laurel clinging to a one-run lead in the fifth, CHYAA's Nick Heubel took hold of a pitch up in the zone and launched it to the left-field power alley for a solo home run to tie it up at 14-14.
But unfortunately for the CHYAA 11-year-olds, Mount Laurel still had some offense left in the bag.

The visitors piled on five runs in the top of the sixth and prevented any serious answer by the home squad, winning the District 4 Cal Ripken title, 19-15.
Besides Heubel's homer, the Panthers got offensive highlights from Scottie Shaw, who launched one over the screen in right for a sixth-inning home run, and Jenkins Kachenmeister, who had an RBI double.

CHYAA had climbed back into the title game via a blistering run through the loser's bracket of the district tournament, piling up 39 runs in three games, and the Panthers don't go away empty-handed, despite the district title loss.
They'll be in the Southern New Jersey state tournament by virtue of being runners-up, and could start play next Thursday at Gibbsboro-Voorhees.
