One of four Democrats running for the nomination in October’s special election, Booker currently holds a commanding lead over U.S. Reps. Rush Holt and Frank Pallone and state Assembly Speaker Sheila Oliver, with a Quinnipiac poll conducted earlier this month giving him a 42-point lead in the primary race.
The primaries for the special Senate election are set for Aug. 13, with the special general election slated for Oct. 16.
