Denish, Covelli Among Best at Local Junior Golf Tour Stop
The two Cherry Hill golfers played well in Pennsauken.

Two Cherry Hill golfers, including one division winner, were among the best at the Philadelphia Junior Tour’s stop in Pennsauken this week.
Kyra Denish, who earlier this year helped Cherry Hill West win the South Jersey Girls Invitational, edged out Newtown, PA golfer Elizabeth Koloski to win the girls 16-18 age group Tuesday, firing an 89.
Denish opened with a birdie on the first hole at Pennsauken Country Club, shooting 44-45, with her advantage on Koloski coming on the front nine.

On the boys side, Alex Covelli, also a Cherry Hill West student, had one of the best back nines of anyone in the boys 13-15 division, shooting a 38 coming home to finish with an 80, good for a fourth-place tie.
Covelli was three back of second, shared by two golfers, and six back of winner Ben Litt of Moorestown.
