Dixon's Gem for West Baseball Highlights Wednesday Action
The sophomore helps the Lions win their 14th game of 2013.
Jeff Dixon followed up his first career save with his first career pitching win, striking out four in five shutout innings to help Cherry Hill West edge Timber Creek Wednesday, 1-0.
West batters scraped together just four hits all game, but it was enough to get the Lions their 14th win of the season.
West also has games scheduled this week against Eastern on Thursday and Vineland in the Diamond Classic quarterfinals Saturday at 1 p.m.

Ben Acero got to play hero twice for the Irish, hitting a sixth-inning grand slam to give Camden Catholic a 10-9 lead, then driving in the game-winning run with a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the seventh that scored Joe Craig.
