Downed Tree Closes Haddonfield-Berlin Road

Haddonfield-Berlin Road was partially shut down around 5:15 p.m. Thursday, after a tree crashed down on wires near Downs Farm Swim Club.

The road was essentially closed between Burnt Mill and Evesham Roads, Cherry Hill Police said, though one lane of traffic was still squeezing by on the eastbound side.

PSE&G crews had been called in to handle the tree and wires, but police said drivers should avoid the area if at all possible and seek alternate routes.

There was no timeline yet for the road reopening.
