Cherry Hill East’s Casey Clark smashed a home run and the Cougars took a 4-2 lead early, but Eastern battled back with a monster third inning on the way to a 12-4 win in the first round of the South Jersey, Group 4 playoffs Tuesday.
The Cougars also got doubles from Andi Leff and Lindsay Savar, doing all their damage in the first two innings.
East managed nine hits against Eastern’s Jessica Heaton.

Vineland 7, Cherry Hill West 1
Vineland jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first inning and held the Lions to just four hits all game. West got a run back in the fifth in the loss.
