High-Rise Hearing, Katz JCC Book Fest Top Week Ahead
Also, get a double dose of free outdoor concerts.

Two high-rise apartment towers could be 20 apartments bigger, pending a hearing before the Cherry Hill zoning board this week.
The Grand towers, which sit off Frontage Road, have applied to convert what’s currently ground-floor commercial space into residential units, but the plan, which exceeds the permissible number of apartments allowed, will have to get the zoning board’s approval.
The hearing on that application is the only new piece of action on the zoning board’s agenda for its Thursday night meeting, which starts at 7:30 p.m., following a 7 p.m. caucus, at the municipal building on Mercer Street.

If music’s more your thing, there are two free outdoor concerts—Cherry Hill’s Music Under the Stars performances continue Tuesday night at 6:30 p.m., with Hank’s Cadillac performing at Barclay Farmstead.
Cherry Hill’s library also gets in on the concert action, hosting The Gentlemen of Jersey Folk in a Saturday afternoon gig at the library’s Friendship Grove. That concert’s scheduled for 2 p.m., weather permitting.
The library will also give teens a chance to show off their talents in an open mic night at 6 p.m. Wednesday on the Java City back patio. Sign-ups are limited and start right at 6, so don’t be late.
If you’re in a giving mood—and maybe want to win some Super Bowl tickets—there’s a blood drive at Campbell’s Field in Camden Tuesday morning, where you’ll not only be entered into the football ticket lottery, but also get a chance to catch the Riversharks, with free tickets going to all donors.
