A 29-year Jefferson Health employee, LaFrance, of Audubon, NJ, was nominated for the third-quarter 2022 award by a colleague, who praises her ability to “break down negative thinking and use positive energy.”
During the peak of the pandemic, some of LaFrance’s staff were re-assigned to care for patients on COVID-19 units. Debbie was always there at the start of her team members' shifts to support them during that challenging time. “Debbie encourages us to do the right thing for patient safety," the nominator continued. “She sees us as a family and wants us to succeed and be happy.”

Part of an international program, DAISY honorees are nominated by patients, family members, and colleagues. Award winners are chosen following a review of nominations by Jefferson’s Clinical Recognition Committee in New Jersey. The nonprofit DAISY Foundation was established in memory of J.
