Kohl's Shoplifter Attacked Security, Police Say

A Chesilhurst resident who attempted to steal more than $1,000 worth of merchandise from Kohl’s went from shoplifter to robber, Cherry Hill Police said.

Daniel James Corbett, of the 200 block of Miller Avenue, was running from the store in the Hillview Center Saturday when security tried to intervene, police said.

Corbett fought with security, police said, and was able to take off in a car, but officers found him and arrested him a short time later.

Corbett was charged with robbery in the incident.
