Library Book Sale, Summer Music Series Highlight Week Ahead

Also, Cherry Hill's township council meets for the first of two July meetings.

With hopefully a little help from the weather, Cherry Hill’s annual Music Under the Stars concert series kicks off this week at Barclay Farmstead, with the first of four acts performing Tuesday night.

The Larry Stevens Band leads off the series, which runs every Tuesday night through the end of the month. Concerts start at 6:30 p.m., weather permitting.

Keeping with the arts theme, the Friends of the Cherry Hill Library are running their summer book sale, which starts Thursday for the general public, with a Friends members-only pre-sale Wednesday.

On the government side of things, Cherry Hill’s township council meets for its first July session Monday night at 7:30 p.m., with a caucus at 7 p.m. A full agenda has yet to be released for that meeting.

In the swimming scene, there’s the annual Midi Meet at Barclay Farm Swim Club on Saturday, featuring competition for individual swimmers between the ages of 10 and 15. It’s the 21st year for the meet, which offers a bit of a different take on the regular summer action.
