Marlton Man Went on Restaurant Rampage, Police Say
Gerald Chero wreaked havoc with a hammer over the weekend, police said.

A 54-year-old man who destroyed a Marlton restaurant’s front doors over the weekend was arrested Sunday, Evesham Township Police said.
Officers who checked surveillance footage of the incident at Casa Carollo on Route 73 recognized Gerald Chero, of Marlton, in an instant, police said.
Chero, who has previous convictions on theft and arson charges, took a hammer to the restaurant’s glass front doors around 3:45 a.m. Saturday, shattering both, police said.

Officers arrested Chero at his home Sunday and charged him with fourth-degree criminal mischief. He was taken to the Burlington County Jail in default of $10,000 full cash bail.
