Marlton Woman Attacked Officers After Chase, Police Say
Jennifer Somers faces a half-dozen charges stemming from the incident.

A Marlton woman who stole a car and fled from police attacked officers with a syringe when they found her at a home near the Links Golf Club earlier this month, Evesham Police said.
Jennifer Somers, 23, was spotted driving the stolen car down Kings Grant Drive around 10 a.m. June 3, police said, and officers attempted to pull her over, only to have Somers lead them on a chase down Kings Grant.
Officers halted the pursuit when Somers swung on to Lady Diana Circle, because of the risk to the public, police said, but later found the car abandoned several blocks away.

One officer was injured in the arrest, and was treated for cuts and bruises and a needle wound from being stuck by the syringe, then released from the hospital, police said.
