Opening Day for Most Cherry Hill Sports Teams Thursday
A pair of Thursday football games are on a crowded schedule for East, West and Camden Catholic.

Are you ready for some football?
How about girls volleyball, a slew of soccer games, some field hockey and cross-country?
Fall sports officially open on a wide scale at Cherry Hill East and West, as well as Camden Catholic Thursday—yes, finally.

Only girls tennis has played already—West trounced Paul VI in its season opener, 5-0, Tuesday afternoon—but most teams will get in on the action for the first time.
Highlights of the day include East taking on Camden Catholic in field hockey, boys soccer and girls soccer, and West taking on Eastern in the same three sports. West girls volleyball will also be in action, as they head to Rancocas Valley.

And with Yom Kippur falling Friday evening, both East and West football will get an early jump on the season with a rare Thursday afternoon home game for East and Thursday Night Lights for West.
The Cougars take on Williamstown at East at 3:30 p.m., while the Lions host Paul VI at 7 p.m. at West’s stadium.
Camden Catholic football, meanwhile, will open Friday night against Timber Creek at home at 7 p.m.
