Police Wanted: Cherry Hill Police Department Now Hiring Officers

CHERRY HILL, NJ - Cherry Hill police are accepting applications for police officers in the township, department officials said.

Interested applicants must be U.S. citizens and residents of New Jersey, be at least 18 years of age and must be hired on or before their 35th birthday, police said. Applicants must also possess a valid, unrestricted New Jersey driver’s license and pass written, physical ability and interview exams, as well as medical, psychological and drug testing. A background investigation will also be provided.

Applicants must also possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent; a minimum of 60 college credits from an accredited college at time of appointment or, with former law enforcement/military experience, at least 30 college credits from an accredited college at time of appointment. Applicants must also be of “good moral character and never convicted of a crime or of any criminal offense involving moral turpitude or dishonesty,” police said.

The link to the application form can be found here or be obtained in person from the police records department (820 Mercer Street) during normal business hours (Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. excluding holidays).

Applications are due on or before 10 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 6, 2023. Applications received afterward will not be accepted, police said.
