Volley for Support Draws Hundreds to West

The annual charity tournament raised money for progeria research.

Twenty-two teams started out the night, but in the end it was Carusi Middle School versus Kilmer Elementary in the annual Volley for Support charity tournament at Cherry Hill West's Jones Gym Friday night.

And it couldn't have been any closer—Kilmer went on to win by just one point to bring home the title to a stalwart group of fans, who joined in the celebration on the court.

The evening was dedicated to raising money for the Progeria Research Foundation. While a total for the night wasn't yet known—money from raffles still had to be counted—organizers estimated it'll hit $12,000 to $15,000.
