Man Stabbed To Death In Union County Hotel, Arrest Made: Police
The man was killed in an Elizabeth hotel Monday morning, and a Bergenfield man was arrested in connection with the homicide, police said.
UNION COUNTY, NJ — A 37-year-old man was stabbed to death at Country Inn & Suites in Elizabeth early Monday morning, according to an announcement from Union County Prosecutor William A. Daniel, Elizabeth Police Director Earl J. Graves and Chief Giacomo Sacca.
Elizabeth Police Officers found Marlon Pantin of Brooklyn, New York laying on the lobby floor of the hotel on 100 International Drive, who had sustained critical injuries as a result of being stabbed.
Pantin was rushed to University Hospital in Newark and subsequently pronounced dead, according to Union County Assistant Prosecutor Robert Grady.

After an investigation led by the Union County Homicide Task Force and Elizabeth Police, 30-year-old Javan Johnson was arrested in connection with the homicide.
Johnson was charged with first-degree murder, third-degree possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes and fourth-degree unlawful possession of a weapon.

The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office and the Bergenfield Police Department also assisted in this investigation.
Johnson was sent to Union County Jail pending court proceedings.
