Careless Driving, Conspiracy: East Windsor Police Blotter
The East Windsor Police blotter dated Oct. 3 had the following reports:
EAST WINDSOR, NJ — On Sept. 26 at 9:47 a.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on Route 130 South after observing an expired New Jersey temporary registration affixed to the vehicle. The driver was found to have an active warrant out of Hamilton Township and was placed under arrest. The 35-year-old Trenton man was taken to police headquarters, processed, and released after posting bail with court personnel.
On Sept. 27, 4:30 p.m., officer conducted a traffic stop on Route 33 East near Lake Drive after observing multiple equipment violations. The driver was found to have an active warrant out of Toms River. The 21-year-old Barnegat man was placed under arrest, taken to police headquarters, processed, and later turned over to the custody of the Toms River Police.
On Sept. 28, 11:13 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop in the area of Lake Drive and Abbington Drive after observing the vehicle being operated with its headlights off. The driver showed signs of impairment and was placed under arrest after failing field sobriety tests. The 41-year-old New York resident was taken to police headquarters, processed, and later released pending court action.

On Sept. 29, 6:41 p.m., an officer responded to Target for a report of a shoplifting in progress. A man and woman took two cameras valued at $202.58 and bypassed all points of sale. The officer found the man in the parking lot and he was found to have active warrants out of Middlesex County and East Windsor. The man was placed under arrest and searched. During the search, the officer found a driver’s license that did not belong to the him. The man was taken to police headquarters, processed, charged on a summons pending court action, and later transported to Mercer County Corrections where he was detained on the active warrant. The woman was later identified and charged on a complaint summons pending court action.
On Sept. 29, 10:15 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop in the area of North Main Street and Old Cranbury Road after observing the vehicle being driven erratically. The driver showed signs of impairment and was placed under arrest after failing field sobriety tests. Additionally, there was a juvenile and his mother as passengers in the vehicle. The passengers were provided with transportation to their residence. The 41-year-old East Windsor man was taken to police headquarters, processed, and later released pending court action.

On Sept. 30, 8:24 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on Route 33 East after observing the vehicle being driven erratically and the temporary registration had expired. The driver was found to have an active warrant out of Guttenberg and was placed under arrest. The 28-year-old Monroe resident was taken to police headquarters, processed, and later turned over to the custody of the Guttenberg Police.
