After School Events Canceled In Edison Due To Storm
The district has canceled all after school and evening activities for Tuesday, including After Care program.

EDISON, NJ — A fierce storm is set to bring heavy rain, and moderate to major flooding to the Garden State on Tuesday.
As Gov. Phil Murphy declared a state of emergency in New Jersey, the Edison Public Schools has announced it has canceled all after school activities for Tuesday.
"Due to the potential of high winds, heavy rain, and the risk of flooding in our area, all after-school and evening activities are canceled, today, January 9, 2024, including After Care in our elementary and middle schools," the district said in an announcement.

The heaviest rain will fall from 6 p.m. Tuesday to 2 a.m. Wednesday, with several rivers slated to experience “moderate to major flooding” across northern New Jersey and southeast Pennsylvania, the National Weather Service said.
The school district is expected to operate at normal start time on Wednesday. If anything changes parents and guardians will be informed.
