“My vision for Edison is one of a thriving, fiscally responsible, and inclusive community where residents feel safe and heard. Municipal taxes have increased more than 5% (thank you to Middlesex County Commissioners for the tax reduction and the Board of Education members for the zero tax increase) with a record debt of 100M in the last 3 years,” Patil told Patch.

“Currently, Municipal debt is more than the municipal budget which will force huge tax increases in the years to come. My focus will be on improving quality of life, transparency, fiscal accountability, and community engagement for a more responsive and efficient local government.”

Patil was first elected to the council in 2016. He has an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master's degree in Industrial Engineering and Management.
