Edison Driver Charged After Leaving Disabled Person In Van Overnight

Authorities said Winnie Raini left a woman with developmental disability in a van overnight on Jan. 2.

EDISON, NJ – A 53-year-old Edison woman was charged after she left a disabled woman in a van overnight, Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Police Chief Thomas Bryan said.

Winnie Raini, 53, of Edison, has been charged with second-degree endangering another person and third-degree neglect of a disabled person.

According to investigation, on Jan. 2, Raini, who was employed as a private transportation driver, left a woman with a developmental disability in a van overnight.

Raini is currently suspended from her employment at Inspiring NJ Transportation LLC., Ciccone said.

Raini will be lodged at the Middlesex County Adult Correctional Center pending the results of a first appearance hearing in Superior Court.
