Edison Gets Grant To Fight Substance Use In The Township
The funds will go towards providing community education and engagement to prevent substance abuse.
EDISON, NJ – The township recently received a grant to fight substance abuse in the township. Edison was awarded $37,415 for the Municipal Alliance Grant.
Edison Municipal Alliance will utilize these funds to provide community education and engagement through the Strengthening Families Program (SFP), Beginning Awareness Basic Education Studies (BABES) program, Building Relationships In Diversified Groups of Edison Students (BRIDGES) program, and more.
“I am proud that Edison Township has been awarded funds that will go towards education on substance abuse and community engagement,” Mayor Sam Joshi said. “These funds will benefit the youth and families in Edison through our programming.”

The Municipal Alliance is comprised of community leaders, private citizens, and human service agency representatives. Their goal is to work together to promote and support the health of residents through educational programs and activities related to prevention of substance use.
