“We believe these conversations will be a great way for residents to connect and talk about how we can make our community stronger,” said Edison Public Library Director Allan Kleiman.
Based on the work of the Harwood Institute for Public Innovation, ‘Community Conversations' are designed to provide members of the community the opportunity to come together, listen, learn, and engage in meaningful dialogue about the issues that matter most.

The sessions will be guided by the principles of the Harwood Institute’s community-driven approach, which emphasizes listening, understanding diverse perspectives, and working collaboratively toward shared solutions.
These conversations will focus on addressing key local issues and fostering an atmosphere where everyone feels empowered to share their thoughts, ideas, and concerns.
“By using the Harwood Institute’s framework, we aim to create a space where people feel heard and valued, allowing us to find common ground and take actionable steps toward improving our shared environment,” Kleiman said.
The Community Conversation sessions are open to all Edison residents. Participants are encouraged to come with an open mind, ready to engage in respectful dialogue that promotes understanding and progress.
Following each session, there will be opportunities for networking and further discussions. Light refreshments will also be provided.
Registration is required and one does not need to attend both sessions.
