Edison Water May Have Chlorine Taste In February Due To Maintenance: NJ American Water
The routine maintenance program will take place the week of Feb. 10 through mid-April.
EDISON, NJ — The water in Edison may have a slight taste of chlorine in February as New Jersey American Water conducts its annual maintenance.
The routine maintenance program will take place the week of Feb. 10 through mid-April and consists of temporarily shifting from using chloramine to free chlorine.
“During this period, some customers may notice a slight taste and smell of chlorine in their water. This is normal and will only be temporary until the system maintenance is complete. If customers experience this, the company suggests placing water in an uncovered pitcher in the refrigerator overnight to allow the chlorine to dissipate,” NJ American Water said.
