Malia Reichmann Appointed Judge To Edison Municipal Court

Reichmann is the third female judge appointed by Mayor Sam Joshi.

EDISON, NJ — Edison resident Malia Reichmann has been appointed as the new judge at the local municipal court.

A life-long Edison resident Reichmann will serve a three-year term and was sworn in on Sept. 30.

She is the third female judge appointed by Mayor Sam Joshi.

"The appointment of Judge Reichmann is a step towards our elected officials representing our diverse community," Joshi said.

"Her deep understanding of our Township and commitment to justice will be an asset to our judicial system."

Judge Reichmann is an experienced lawyer and earned her degree from Columbia Law School.

"Being appointed as a Municipal Court Judge in the Township of Edison—my hometown and where I now live—is truly a dream come true. Thank you to Mayor Sam Joshi and the Edison Township Council for entrusting me with upholding laws that make our community safe, beautiful and a welcoming place for everyone,” Reichmann said in a statement.

“I look forward to learning from Chief Edison Municipal Court Judge Dipti Dedhia and to blend my legal expertise with my dedication to my community."

Judge Reichmann will be serving alongside Honorable Dipti Vaid Dedhia (Chief Judge), Honorable Gary M. Price (Judge), and Honorable Asma Warsi (Judge).
