Playa Bowls Opening In Edison On Friday

The first 50 customers can get their bowls for free.

EDISON, NJ — Beach favorite Playa Bowls will be opening in Edison this Friday, Dec. 28. The first 50 customers can enjoy a free smoothie bowl.

The smoothie's shops Edison spot will open at 2688 Woodbridge Avenue, near the Wawa. Playa Bowls has one other Middlesex County location, in New Brunswick.

In the beginning, Playa Bowls were mostly found in beach towns (Belmar was its first location), but have begun spreading inland. They currently have over two dozen.

Most smoothie bowls are made with acai berries and a mix of other fruits, and sell for about $10 a bowl. Visit their website here.
